

50:50 joint venture delivering major UK infrastructure projects, including HS2 civil engineering.
Support project and construction colleagues in effective delivery of safety briefings / health and safety communications.
Support and deputise for the Sublot H&S Manager when needed.
Provide advice and support on relevant health and safety related issues to colleagues on site.
When needed, provide support for the development of site related health and safety related communications.
Advise on project compliance with the BBV health and safety management system and relevant UK legislation such as CDM, and other Construction related legislative requirements.
Complete documented site inspections and joint inspections with suppliers, BBV and Subcontractor teams.
Able to work independently and efficiently on time critical / time sensitive workstreams.

Ability to prepare formal written reports on H&S topics.
Be able to support BBV and HS2 behavioural and cultural change programmes through alignment with the Golden Behaviours and Golden Rules.

Competence in incident investigation.

Experienced required
Relevant H&S Diploma, NVQ or Degree (or equivalent level 6 qualification). May consider candidates with a NEBOSH certificate currently working towards one of these qualifications with relevant on site experience and to have or be working toward Chartered Membership of IOSH.
Strong understanding and experience of UK Health and Safety Regulatory Framework.
Ability to influence and promote a positive H&S culture by engaging and conversing at all levels.
Broad experience of complex construction and civils projects.
