Secondary Engineer

Description

The Secondary Engineer role in the Transmissions team involves designing panel layouts, schematics, protection settings, cable and wiring schedules, and related documentation for HV and EHV terminal stations and substations.

• Undertake secondary design for substations and terminal stations to a high technical standard.
• Manage project outcomes within budget and programme constraints while maintaining technical performance.
• Conduct peer reviews of work as required.
• Oversee detail design from concept to final implementation, meeting scope, quality, timeline, and budget targets.
• Identify and manage scope variations according to client or project requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum five years’ experience on electrical transmission projects.
• Hold an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Possess relevant work rights for full-time employment in Australia.
• Demonstrated secondary design experience in networks above 66 kV.
• Experience with IEC 61850 standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder management.
