The Property Manager, Multifamily is tasked with maintaining communities to a market‑ready standard while ensuring a high level of service. This role also focuses on motivating and leading high‑performing teams to maximize property performance.
Essential duties include overseeing all community operations such as maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits. The manager provides superior customer service to residents and prospects, completing lease paperwork to company standards, tracking advertising effectiveness, and developing creative marketing programs to drive revenue.
Leadership responsibilities involve developing, mentoring, and managing a cohesive on‑site team across leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management functions, while minimizing turnover. The manager enforces Cushman & Wakefield policies, supervises day‑to‑day activities, hires and coaches staff, maintains resident files, resolves conflicts promptly, and ensures a positive living environment.
Key competencies include effective communication, strong customer service, proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet navigation, and solid office, bookkeeping, and sales skills. The role requires setting leasing goals, monitoring staff performance, and the ability to manage a team while performing any additional duties as assigned.
Education and experience requirements favor a Bachelor’s degree and a real‑estate license, along with at least three years of property management experience and three years of management experience.
The work environment is a professional office setting with standard equipment and regular travel. Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 lb, and traveling up to 15 % of the time.
Other duties may evolve over time, and the position offers a comprehensive benefits package—health, vision, dental, flexible spending and health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid time off—along with a competitive salary range of $68,000 to $80,000.
