A global engineering, management, and development consultancy delivering innovative solutions.
Mott MacDonald is looking for graduates ready to launch an engineering career where ideas matter, growth is championed and work makes a real difference. The Graduate Civil Engineer role offers the chance to design and deliver projects that improve lives, strengthen communities and contribute to a more sustainable world.
Graduates can choose from several streams: Special Services (cross‑sector design, forensic analysis and asset life‑extension), Tunnels (transport, energy and water projects with chartership support), Highways (full life‑cycle road design and delivery), Asset Management (drainage, flood risk, pavement engineering and digital tools), Local Streets (urban and rural infrastructure, active travel and nature‑based solutions) and Urban Transit (mass rapid transit, rail, tram and bus systems). Each area offers exposure to real projects and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Candidates must have less than 12 months of relevant experience and hold (or be expected to obtain) a bachelor’s degree earned no earlier than 2024 in civil, structural, coastal, engineering science (civil focus), façade, or bridge engineering. Some roles require security clearance, which typically demands UK nationality or five years of residency.
In your application demonstrate genuine interest in the role and the firm by highlighting relevant modules, work experience or research you have undertaken. All applications are reviewed by people, not AI tools, and authenticity is expected throughout the selection process.
