The manager will direct a division of project managers, engineers, and field staff, ensuring projects adhere to UDOT specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. Civil Science is offering paid relocation to Utah for the right candidate and is seeking an experienced Construction Division Manager to lead transportation and infrastructure projects across the state. The ideal applicant holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license, is versed in UDOT standards and specifications, and possesses strong strategic and leadership skills. This role will also support the expansion of the construction management team throughout Utah.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (a Master’s is a plus) and a Utah PE license or the ability to obtain reciprocity within six months. A minimum of ten years’ experience in heavy civil/transportation construction, including five years in a leadership role, and proven work on UDOT projects are required. Strong communication, negotiation, and travel flexibility throughout Utah are also essential.
The position involves prolonged periods of desk work and computer use, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent activities include standing, walking, climbing, and working on active construction sites with uneven terrain, variable weather, and high noise levels. Candidates must be comfortable with these physical demands.
