Operator *Dirt/Earthwork*

Description

• Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific protocols.
• Conduct daily inspections and perform basic maintenance to keep machines in safe operating condition.
• Scrapers for mass excavation and hauling.
• Perform rough and finish grading for pads, roads, and other site features according to stakes or GPS.
• Read and interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and cut/fill maps.
• Collaborate with grade checkers and foremen to ensure accurate grading and productivity.

Requirements

• Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in dirt work and grading with scrapers, dozers, blades, and gannons.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and safety onboarding.
• Gannon tractors for finish work, pad prep, and light grading.
• Motor graders (blades) for fine grading and road preparation.
• Experience with GPS grade control systems (e.g., Trimble or Topcon) preferred but not required.
• Dozers for push-loading, grading, and slope work.
• Valid driver’s license required; reliable transportation to job sites.
• Strong understanding of grading principles, soil compaction, and site prep procedures.
