The Automation Engineer supports the site maintenance team to ensure operational performance and efficiency of material handling equipment (MHE) control systems. This includes troubleshooting conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, labeling printers, scales, HMIs, control cabinets and related hardware while collaborating with operations and maintenance to implement solutions and lead projects in a modern, climate‑controlled environment.
The role requires physical ability to work overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lb, and move between floors, averaging 6‑12 miles of travel per day. Work is performed in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures while wearing required personal protective equipment.
Candidates should have at least three years of experience (or a relevant degree plus experience) in programming and commissioning HMIs, PLCs, VFDs, SCADA systems, and supporting conveyors and sortation equipment. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply and join a team that makes a difference.
