The role involves monitoring installations to ensure work meets company standards and contract requirements, using crews efficiently, and collaborating with the foreman on project portions and employees. Responsibilities include productivity, safety, quality control, scheduling, material procurement, and other activities affecting successful project completion. The position is safety-sensitive.
The incumbent must thoroughly understand their project portion, communicate effectively with foremen and crew, maintain courteous customer interactions, ensure compliance with NEC and all applicable codes, verify proper materials are on site and received, manage crew productivity and time, set high performance and quality standards, monitor project goals, utilize the Prefab shop, anticipate and address potential problems, lead and motivate the crew, enforce start times and legal break periods, maintain accurate as‑builts, follow the employee handbook, and implement safety policies.
Candidates must have completed an electrical construction apprenticeship, hold a valid state electrician license, or possess four years of journeyman experience, along with solid knowledge of electrical codes and installation methods. Required skills include strong communication, problem‑solving, data analysis, prioritization, reading technical instructions and drawings, basic mathematics, tool usage, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to visualize electrical layouts.
The job requires lifting and pulling up to 50 lb, ladder work, wire and conduit pulling, squatting, stooping, kneeling while wearing a 25 lb tool belt, prolonged standing, and work from ladders or lifts. Work conditions involve various weather, high noise levels, and outdoor settings.
