  • Develop documentation and user manuals for automation systems
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems
  • Development and testing of automation software
  • Collaborate with other application engineers to design automation systems
  • Participate in product inventories and managing department equipment
  • Begin as a trainee within B&R trainee program to learn what B&R has to offer in both hardware and software solutions.
  • Creation of technical sales demonstrations
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard control techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Preferred: knowledge of PC or PLC programming, familiarity with robotic systems and real-time operating systems, understanding of electrical/mechanical systems and familiarity with Jira
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, Structured Text, Ladder, C, C++
  • Candidate must possess work authorization to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship
  • Availability to work outside of standard business hours for system installation and/or support and up to 25% domestic travel, largely within the region.
  • Familiarity with programming and coding IDEs such as Visual Basic or Visual Studio
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar) required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to take initiative independently and to work on a team
