Description

The Senior Property Accountant (P3) will join the Client Accounting Services team in Westmont, Illinois, working on a portfolio of four to six properties. This hybrid role requires independent management of complex accounting tasks, preparation of financial statements, and collaboration with site teams and clients. It offers growth opportunities in a dynamic, client‑focused financial management setting.

• Prepare timely monthly/quarterly property financial statements for 4–6 properties.
• Record journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, and ensure compliance with client controls.
• Serve as accounting resource for site teams, answering procedural and client inquiries.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and manage audit requirements.
• Oversee cash management, loan servicing, disbursement processing, and external reporting.
• Manage accounts payable, reviewing invoice coding, approvals, and control compliance.
• Assist with annual budget preparation, compiling assumptions and capital budget data.
• Conduct year‑end reconciliation, calculate adjustments, and ensure lease‑based billing accuracy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
• 3–5 years of real‑estate accounting experience, including CAM and FASB 13 knowledge.
• Strong analytical, planning, and multitasking abilities under pressure.
• Client‑focused mindset with excellent relationship‑building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Access, MRI or Yardi a plus.
• Adaptability, ability to handle ambiguity, and drive for results.

Benefits

Compensation for this position is estimated between $83,000 and $97,000 annually, and the role is on‑site in Westmont, IL.
