Production Assistant

Overview

Provides administrative, accounting, reporting, and inventory support to production operations.

Tasks

-Assist in continuous improvement plant initiatives -Log QC related certification entries -Backup / assistance for production scheduling -Assist in creating and sending PO’s to vendors/suppliers and communicate lead times -Propose and assist in implementing office process improvements as identified -Support operations by assisting staff, planning, organizing and implementing administrative systems -Run daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for review with Production and Plant Manager -Assist in reconciling production reporting and actual attainment -Assist in setting up and performing cycle counts for inventory management -Review/Update Timecards

What You Bring

-Basic math skills, including percentages, rations, decimals -Knowledge and understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, scheduling, production methods and coordination of people and resources -High School, GED, or Associate degree or equivalent combination of administrative experience, training or education (preferred) -Computer skills, including MS Office Suite, accounting software, database software, internet software, payroll systems -Must be able to multitask, be detailed oriented and possess strong organization skills -Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company
