catenary design
Participate in technical reviews, design validation.
Support complete project lifecycle from concept design through to detailed design and site execution.
Ensure designs adhere to national and international electrification standards (EN 50119, Network Rail OLEMI, ARTC standards, Trafikverket design rules).
Analyze route alignment and geometry to determine support placements, wire runs, stagger, uplift, and wind load impact.
Collaborate with signaling, civil, and traction power teams to resolve multidisciplinary interface issues.
Perform tensioning and mechanical calculations for different OLE types (simple, compound, regulated, unregulated, and auto-tensioned systems).
Lead the design, specification, and integration of low voltage systems in rail infrastructure projects, including power supply, lighting, cabling, communications, and auxiliary systems.
Prepare mast location plans, BOMs, and foundation details based on local terrain and climatic conditions.
Design and develop detailed catenary profiles, sectioning plans, and layout drawings for rail electrification projects in Sweden, the UK, and Australia.
