  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams to align design requirements.
  • Attending regular client meetings with senior project members, preparing meeting notes, documenting relevant decisions and discussions.
  • Lead and own the design of structured cabling systems, ensuring integration with clients' active networks.
  • Develop and maintain high-level IT network documentation.
  • Engage with key manufacturers and vendors to stay updated on leading IT infrastructure products.
  • Engage with clients to establish clear IT requirements and objectives.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key external stakeholders, including project managers, consultants, and vendors.
  • Research emerging technologies and monitor future trends to keep Uncoded and its clients at the forefront of technology.
  • Challenge the status quo to help clients discover optimal solutions for their workspaces.
  • Produce tender design information, including specifications, drawings, and client budgets.
  • Oversee the installation, termination, and testing of cabling systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISO, ANSI/TIA), safety protocols, and best practices.
  • Create and uphold drawing standards, including plans, elevations, and schematics.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Uncoded team to create coordinated technology packages for clients.
  • Design Wi-Fi networks, including access point placement, coverage analysis, and performance optimisation.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Information Technology (IT) Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and managing structured cabling systems for large-scale commercial fit-out projects. This role offers the opportunity to work with some of the largest brands and companies, contributing to innovative workspace solutions.

  • Familiarity with construction phases (RIBA or RIAI).
  • Experience delivering large-scale projects within a construction environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., BICSI RCDD, CNET CNIDP, ECSE Design Certification) are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with network security principles as they relate to physical infrastructure, including the protection of cabling systems from unauthorised access.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of network equipment and terminology.
  • Strong understanding of network topologies, including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), SD WAN (Software-defined wide area network), SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) and their relationship with structured cabling systems.
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems and leading IT infrastructure products.
  • Experience in integrating structured cabling with active network components like switches, routers, and firewalls, ensuring optimal network performance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with BIM is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in designing corporate IT infrastructure solutions for large fit-out projects.
