In this role you will manage the delivery of capital, infrastructure and water network projects, overseeing design, procurement, construction, project controls and close‑out to ensure budget, schedule and quality objectives are met.
- Manage delivery of capital, infrastructure, or water network projects focusing on budget, schedule, and quality.
- Directly manage and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to meet project timescales.
- Procure and direct a diverse range of consultant expertise across multidisciplinary skills.
- Oversee construction design, estimation, planning, statutory processes, procurement, and maintenance forecasting in collaboration with various departments.
- Manage project control, resourcing, service delivery, consultant supervision, and approve payment certificates.
- Produce and approve project delivery plans, contractor plans, cash flow projections, and earned value analysis.
- Manage day‑to‑day construction service providers for capital projects, ensuring conformance and compliance.
- Supervise project close‑out activities, including commissioning and handover to operations and maintenance.

The successful candidate will hold an engineering or project‑management degree, have extensive experience managing large infrastructure or water‑utility programmes, and possess strong supply‑chain, contract, financial and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Hold a degree in engineering or a related project‑management discipline.
- Experience managing large or multiple infrastructure, capital projects or programmes, preferably in a water utility.
- Ability to mobilise and manage the supply chain, including design, planning, and construction services.
- Strong knowledge of project/programme management, contract management (NEC3, FIDIC or similar), strategic planning, methodologies, and construction delivery best practice.
- Familiarity with project, programme and financial management tools such as Oracle and Primavera P6 or similar.
- Experience managing varied teams, commercial contract management and conflict resolution.
- Proven track record of handling complex issues proactively and communicating complex information to stakeholders.
- Ability to successfully implement and execute programmes and drive high performance.
- Strong business acumen with a financial perspective.
- Digitally savvy, capable of building lasting client relationships and supporting motivated teams.
