As a Sensor Operator you will capture high‑quality geospatial data for major infrastructure and environmental projects across the United States. Working aboard small aircraft and helicopters, you will operate advanced aerial sensors and ensure accurate data collection in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. - Operate aerial sensors (LiDAR, HD video, RGB, NIR, thermal) during flights under Flight Operations Manager direction
- Coordinate daily flights with flight crew members
- Troubleshoot sensor issues in real time and perform preventive maintenance
- Conduct field data checks to ensure accurate, complete, high‑quality data collection
- Operate in remote U.S. locations with minimal supervision

We seek candidates with experience operating sensors or technical equipment in helicopters or small aircraft, a strong interest in aviation, and solid communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and data handling, combined with a passion for troubleshooting, is essential. Additional assets include FAA Part 107 certification, basic photography knowledge, and prior LiDAR experience.
- Travel up to 21 days at a time and work in small fixed‑wing aircraft or helicopters for extended periods
- Prior experience operating sensors or technical equipment in helicopters or small aircraft (flight operations experience preferred)
- Strong interest in aviation; existing flight hours or training highly preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication and organizational abilities
- Proficient in Windows, MS Office, data handling, organization, and file transfer
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in the field
- Ability to learn and operate advanced technology; LiDAR experience a plus
- Ability to work independently and adapt to unexpected challenges in remote environments
- FAA Part 107 license (preferred)
- Basic photography knowledge (preferred)
