Assist with the installation, testing, and repair of transmission and fiber and power conductors .
Coordinate with other technicians and engineers to ensure proper system operation
Utilize PPE in compliance with EHS requirements and industry standards
Assist with the assembly of small cell and RF equipment on poles.
Perform tower construction activities including assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas, mounting hardware, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimizing antennas and lines.
Assist with the installation of required small cell equipment, including, but not limited to, masts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, remote radio units, cabling, and small scope civil CX including concrete.
Installation of RF and antenna system components such as (antennas, TMA's, RRU's, diplexers, coax, hybrids, grounding, supports, weatherproofing, connectors, hardware, etc.)
Maintain OSHA safety requirements at all times with the ability to follow EHS procedures and protocol
Perform routine and preventative maintenance
Assist with testing of new and existing equipment. May include sweep, PIM, or fiber testing.

Ability to travel and work in remote locations outside of the metropolitan area.

Travel is required 50% of the time
Basic knowledge of knots and tower riggings preferred.
Small Cell Tech I Entry level basic Construction experience preferred
Ability to take and understand written and verbal direction. Ability to take and understand written and verbal direction.
Small Cell Tech II 1-2 years of experience as a technician
Highschool diploma or GED equivalent
Desire and ability to climb structures to heights in excess of 300’ while carrying loads in excess of 50 pounds.
Computer , Smart Phone, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Work with basic hand tools and safety equipment. Telecom test gear knowledge a plus.
Understanding and ability to process RFDS and read and execute construction drawings.
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams.
Small Cell Tech III 2-3 years of experience as a tower technician
Basic electronic knowledge
Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawing and support documentation, RF data sheets, and basic electrical concepts. be able to communicate both verbally and electronically.
Ability to work at heights greater than 20 ft.
Attention to detail
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
Ability to work in all weather conditions except for unsafe or extreme weather conditions.
Ability to operate power tools and hand tools.
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
