Role
What you would be doing
  • Assist superintendent and foreman with layout and other technical requirements
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule
  • Review proposal specifications, drawings, soils reports and existing site conditions to determine scope of work
  • Complete material and quantity take offs according to project scope of work
  • Track 1 or more of the following: submittals, RFI’s and contract change orders, daily cost vs. project budget, quantities and equipment and project logs
  • Assist with diesel emissions control plans and monitoring
  • Perform job site administration and documentation (under supervision)
  • Preparation of work plans and or storm water protection plans
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction
  • Attend bid review meetings with estimating team to understand the estimate process

Candidates will preferably be enrolled in a Landscape themed academic program.Our Summer Internship Program is very learning intensive, so students can expect to do challenging work and to engage in activities that will broaden their awareness of the great career opportunities in heavy civil construction and with Griffith Company.Interested students should apply no later than end of day on Friday, October 31st, 2025.
