What you would be doing

You will be involved in projects, tenders, base and R&D work.
You will handle the interface with other interfacing departments, ensuring you understand their needs, and they yours, and to work for a good corporation for best end results together.
You will be study and verify the overvoltage protection scheme through simulations in PSCAD/EMTDC including specifying fault scenarios to be investigated for the project and simulate the overvoltage’s that will be input for equipment specifications and mechanical layout.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Extensive knowledge of Power Systems studies and modelling of electrical network.
Knowledge in selection, sizing and integration of above equipment based on customer functional specification.
Preferably knowledge on IEC/IEEE standards, Understanding application of Power Electronics in HV/EHV system like HVDC and FACTS is preferred.
Proven skills in using computers as a calculation tool, experience of power system simulation tools such as PSSE, EMTDC /PSCAD and calculations in MATLAB / Mathcad is preferred.
You hold a degree in bachelor of Engineering in Electrical with 3 to 6 years of experience / Master of Engineering in Power Systems with 2 to 5 years of experience.
Good communication skills.
Should have knowledge of Power Systems equipment and their purpose, such as Power Transformers, Capacitors, Reactors, Instrument Transformer and measuring equipment, Circuit Breakers, Disconnector, Surge Arrester etc.
Understanding and design of Electrical Power Systems and controls.
To successfully take on this position, you need to be thorough and structured with a high technical interest and strive for good solutions within the set time limits.
