The Contract Coordinator will manage both pre‑contract and post‑contract activities for the Infrastructure Department’s portfolio, ensuring compliance with framework agreements and work orders. Responsibilities include supporting procurement and legal teams, administering work orders from award to completion, monitoring contractor performance, and handling disputes as needed.
- Manage pre‑contract activities, supporting procurement and legal teams and advising programme directors.

- Ensure compliance with the Contracting Entity’s contract management standards and NEC terms.
- Monitor contractor/consultant performance against agreed KPIs and manage disputes as needed.
- Review, tailor and negotiate draft contracts and subcontract agreements with input from legal, technical and financial advisors.
- Lead contractual negotiations and provide guidance to project and services managers.
- Certify payments and assess defined costs for NEC Option C and E contracts.
- Audit contractor and consultant accounts to verify accurate cost capture.
- Review contractor forecasts and calculate pain‑share or gain‑share for Option C/D contracts.
- Perform delay damage calculations when required.
- Develop and approve category‑specific contract management strategies.
- Set KPI targets in NEC incentive schedules and evaluate contractor performance against them.
- Create and maintain a KPI library for accountable programmes.
- Evaluate contractor performance, approve improvement plans and oversee performance evaluations.
- Build, develop and lead a team of contract administrators, fostering collaboration with project teams.
- Review compensation event applications, quotations and make recommendations to project managers.
- Ensure payment applications align with contractual terms and conditions.
- Provide assurance for RFI/RFT tender documentation, including Z‑clauses and contract amendments.
- Oversee tendering and evaluation processes to ensure proper contractor/consultant appointment.

The ideal candidate brings more than 10 years of contract management experience, particularly with NEC contracts, and a strong background in claims and performance‑management frameworks. Leadership, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in CEMAR, Unifier, and a bachelor's degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management.
- Hold 10+ years experience in contract management and administration, primarily with NEC contracts.
- Demonstrated expertise in claims management and performance‑management frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead multiple complex contractual arrangements and guide stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, report‑writing and presentation skills.
- Proficient in CEMAR, Unifier and general computer applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Quantity Surveying or Project Management.
