- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety health hazards
- Responsible for investigation and evaluation of injuries and illnesses for the project site
- Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with the administration of PCI’s Accident Prevention Plan, policies, and procedures, on jobsites and at the branch through utilization of safety resources such as training and mitigation of unsafe practices.
- Ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted on time and in accordance with client requirements and expectations
- Represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activities
- Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards
- Promote safe work practices and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture among all site and field personnel
- Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance
- Coach employees to achieve compliance with accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures

- Physically able to perform assigned tasks
- Degree in Occupational or Environmental Health and Safety is a plus
- Displays strong verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively convey information to employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Convey a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of PCI
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous experience conducting safety training is a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
- Must have OSHA 30 certification
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds independently
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience in construction safety
- Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
