Description
- Prepare feasibility study reports and review them with senior structural engineers.
- Assemble design specifications with the WSP UK Team, ensuring compliance with employer requirements and timely delivery.
- Define and monitor project scope and building requirements with senior engineers and the UK team.
- Perform detailed design to WSP and Building Regulations standards, including complex calculations, CDM, QA, and obtain technical sign‑off.
- Review and monitor calculation production, ensuring QA and technical reviews.
- Provide detailed project costing information and keep the UK team updated on design decisions.
- Supply documentary information for tender preparation, meeting deadlines and informing the UK team of design choices.
- Respond to day‑to‑day queries from the UK team, delivering required information for construction activities.
- Report any variances between constructed works and design intent to the UK team and senior engineers.
- Lead the design process, guiding the team to deliver cost‑effective solutions on schedule.
- Manage document control, archiving, and CDM/QA processes, ensuring proper issuance and filing of drawings, specifications, and reports, and mentor junior staff.
