You`ll work collaboratively across departments - including Project Delivery, Surveying, Fire Safety, Housing, Leasehold, and Responsive Repairs - providing technical leadership and ensuring health and safety compliance, legal standards, and KPIs are met. This is a pivotal role, focused on creating long-term value and maintaining a high level of resident satisfaction.
As a Planned Investment Surveyor, you`ll be responsible for managing and delivering planned investment and capital works, ensuring projects meet technical standards, are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed customer expectations.
- Oversee and manage works to ensure compliance with CDM, HHSRS, Decent Homes Standards and Health & Safety legislation.
- Support performance management processes through reporting, inspections and contractor oversight.
- Monitor budgets, manage costs, scrutinise invoices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Undertake pre, post and work-in-progress inspections, ensuring quality, compliance and value for money.
- Deliver annual planned investment programmes including surveys, project management, contract administration and technical support.
- Ensure data accuracy and usage of systems including housing management and mobile working platforms.
- Provide expert guidance to contractors and internal teams on specifications, regulations, and performance standards.
- Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring timely, high-quality delivery and communication.

A relevant building, surveying, or construction qualification is desirable, along with knowledge of housing standards and regulatory frameworks.
Are you a driven, technically skilled surveyor with a passion for delivering high-quality investment works that directly improve homes and communities?
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and reallocate resources to meet targets.
- A proactive approach to health and safety, including CDM, asbestos, and COSHH compliance.
- Experience working with internal delivery teams, DLOs and external contractors.
- Strong technical surveying knowledge, ideally with experience in planned investment or capital works.
- Proven project management and contract administration skills.
