Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Account Executive is responsible for full‑cycle sales, from prospecting and client acquisition through needs analysis, estimating, order acquisition, and follow‑up. The role includes actively seeking new business via direct mail, referrals, trade shows, and cold calls, developing and maintaining client relationships, negotiating price and terms, preparing and consulting on estimates, analyzing blueprints and specifications, monitoring job sites for quality control, and managing sales goals and business development plans.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Construction Management, and has at least five years of direct sales experience (not telemarketing or inside sales). They must understand blueprint reading and estimating, have proven abilities in a paving, landscaping, or construction environment, and possess strong math, geometry, and written and verbal communication skills.
