  • Identify and use carpentry tools.
  • Read and interpret advanced blueprints.
  • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies using proper lifting techniques.
  • Wear a respirator as needed (blood pressure no higher than 150/90).
  • Erect and disassemble commercial scaffolding.
  • Select, measure, and cut materials.
  • Fabricate and install job-built scaffolding.
  • Climb vertical ladders and work above/below ground as necessary.
  • Perform detailed layout and maintain a clean work area.
  • Install shoring and bracing.

  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.

  • Must be able to obtain nuclear unescorted access, including fitness for duty requirements.

  • Visual acuity, balancing, stooping, reaching, walking, manual dexterity, grasping, feeling, hearing, talking.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain knowledge of technical manuals and procedures.
  • Ability to pass specific training and qualifications.
  • Ability to work at varying heights, in cramped quarters, extreme heat and/or cold, and loud environments (above 89 decibels).
  • Strategic thinking and planning for growth.
  • 2+ years of experience.
  • Ability to support other crafts as requested.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed.
