Description

As the manager and project lead for modernizing Maddox’s business intelligence and reporting infrastructure, you will design, develop, and deliver the company’s analytics platform, data warehouse, and business reporting solutions. You will lead the BI engineering team, set technical standards for data modeling and metrics, and partner with leaders across Sales, Operations, Finance, and executive management to provide accurate, timely, and actionable insights. This role serves as the go‑to person for all BI across the organization, turning data from multiple operational systems into clear performance metrics.

You will respond to internal user requests by delivering insights, providing training on reporting tools, and adjusting data pipelines when APIs change. Troubleshooting and repairing faulty data flows and reports will be part of your day‑to‑day duties. Prioritization of these reactive tasks ensures that business users have reliable, up‑to‑date information.

Proactively, you will establish clear priorities, standards, and delivery expectations for the team while staying hands‑on as needed. Your focus will be on building high‑quality, durable, and fast‑delivering data views that simplify core business objects and performance measurement. You will implement change‑management processes, data pipeline observability, and deliver training to empower internal users to use data and reporting tools effectively.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who mentors junior staff, communicates complex technical issues to stakeholders in simple terms, and enjoys making businesses more efficient and scalable. They are a fast learner with strong attention to detail, comfortable with abstract thinking, domain‑driven design, and remote collaboration via phone, email, and chat, preferring teamwork over lone‑wolf work.

Benefits

We seek a manager of technical data or software‑focused teams with 3–5+ years of experience; a technical or engineering degree is helpful but not required. The role can be performed from any Maddox office with quarterly travel to other facilities, and offers a salary range of $140k–$155k plus bonus and a benefits package worth roughly $20k annually.
