The Director of Environmental Health & Safety – Regulatory Affairs & Audit Assurance (Solar EPC) provides strategic leadership for EH&S regulatory compliance, program validation, and audit assurance across Moss’s Solar EPC and Energy portfolio. Reporting to the Vice President of EH&S (Solar), the role ensures consistent adherence to Moss safety programs, client EH&S requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations, while serving as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies.
Key responsibilities include establishing the compliance roadmap, validating safety program execution on PV, BESS, and repower projects, leading internal audits, and coordinating client and third‑party assessments. The Director partners with operations, legal, risk management, and other cross‑functional teams to embed EH&S considerations into project planning, drive continuous improvement, and maintain a high‑performing compliance and audit assurance function.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field, and bring at least 15 years of progressive safety experience, preferably in solar EPC, renewable energy, or heavy construction. Required expertise includes OSHA construction standards, EPA regulations, NFPA, NEC, DOT requirements, and experience with ISO or equivalent EH&S frameworks; professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or PE are preferred.
