Attend, participate in and lead client vision sessions

Manage or oversee overall project schedules and budgets
Provide management of internal finances , which include billing, invoice generation and asset/resource allocation
Perform quality assurance/control on other's work, verifying methodolog ies, calculations, outcomes, etc.
Develop new client relationships and work proactively to enhance existing partnerships
Preplan and determine funding avenues for projects by collaborating with clients, consultants and agencies
Oversee all aspects of concurrent design and construction projects
Engage, motivate, and lead internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies and plans to move the organization in the desired direction.
Develop project scopes and objectives and coordinate all efforts – administrative and technical – to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects
Manage/oversee career conversations with your team on an established schedule (annual career conversations, regular check-ins, and the development of career plans for each team member)
Develop future leaders within the organization (train your replacement)
Engage and foster the growth of CPL team members. Provide encouragement and regular feedback; and serve as a mentor/example for all levels of the team.
Assist the marketing team in the development of project proposals, as well as efforts to grow the business
Promote justice, diversity and fairness in the organization
Keep abreast of new scientific methods and developments affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes

Ability to work across a wide range of areas within the building design environment
You earned a BS (and/or MS) in civil engineering from an accredited institution and have at least twelve (12) years of related work experience – or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and juggle critical tasks, seeing them through to completion design problems
Deep expertise in your design specialty
Strong computer skills in the software needed for design as well as Microsoft Office suite of programs
Professional licensure (PE) is preferred
Strong communication skills, (both wr itten and verbal)
You have previous leadership experience, having worked to identify thoughtful solutions to complicated design problems
Ability to foster a creative design environment
Thorough understanding of current trends and areas of growth within the civil engineering industry
