They will write sections for moderate‑size project plans, prepare portions of project documents, and act as project manager on small stand‑alone projects or as task leader on larger, more complex assignments. Additional duties include developing client presentation materials, participating in client meetings, and leading the delivery of presentations.
The position also involves identifying, tracking, and leading small project pursuits, preparing portions of proposals, and participating in industry events. Annual sales goals and client‑management responsibilities are expected, and the role may include supervising a small team of direct reports.
Successful candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited program and at least five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong oral and written communication skills are required to build relationships with clients, contractors, team members, and other stakeholders.
Required qualifications include an accredited bachelor’s in planning, aviation, environmental science or a related field, and a solid understanding of NEPA, federal environmental laws, and FAA orders. Candidates need a minimum of five years preparing NEPA documents for airport or DOT improvement projects, working knowledge of MS Office, and preferably experience with ESRI ArcGIS.
The role demands collaborative teamwork, responsiveness to deadlines, strong interest in airport/airfield environments, demonstrated project‑management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Desired coursework covers ecology, geology, biology, water resources, environmental regulation, urban planning, noise and air‑quality analysis, and public outreach.
