The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Technician – Process Specialist supports the development, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies that drive efficiency, quality, and scalability. This role focuses on hands-on process development, validation, and continuous improvement within production, ensuring that advanced manufacturing methods are effectively integrated into operations.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all process activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of process issues, driving corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cycle time, quality, and throughput.
  • Train operators and production staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Conduct process trials, validation studies, and capability analyses to ensure robust manufacturing outcomes.
  • Support the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Partner with engineers to develop work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and control plans.
  • Assist in evaluating new technologies and equipment for integration into production lines.
  • Support automation initiatives, including robotics, CNC, and advanced assembly systems.
  • Collect and analyze process data, supporting SPC and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in process engineering, combined with practical shop-floor experience, to serve as a bridge between engineering and production teams.

  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment setup, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, process documentation, and technical drawings.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Background in process validation for regulated industries (ISO, AS9100, IATF, etc.).
  • Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Manufacturing Process Improvement.
  • Familiarity with automation, robotics, CNC machining, or advanced assembly processes.
  • Experience with SPC, DOE, and other statistical process tools.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process development, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communicator with ability to collaborate across engineering and production teams.
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, electronics, or specialty manufacturing industries.
