What you would be doing

  • Identifying and reporting all Safety concerns, Quality issues and manufacturing problems before progressing any work.
  • Setting up machinery for production runs, including adjustments and calibrations as needed - rewind, tapeline, packager, tape/braider, magline, plastic extruder, PCP injection. May included operation of multiple machines at one time.
  • Operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment and machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Troubleshooting and resolving minor equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, following 5S principles.
  • Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and solve operational challenges.
  • Following safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment incl, participating in Risk Assessments.
  • Repairing, patching, or splicing cable.
  • Performing routine quality checks on products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Participating in ongoing training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to manufacturing processes and equipment.

  • Proven years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Can read and interpret documents such as safety rules, manufacturing work orders, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and shifts as needed.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or a related field is a plus.
  • You will be working a continental shift pattern – 2 weeks Dayshift / 2 weeks Nightshift.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment (rules, Vernier's, tapes).
