Collaborate with engineers to deliver project assignments on schedule and according to design standards
Complete design engineering tasks such as drawing markups, as-building support, project scoping, and estimating
Development of technical competencies in structural steel and foundation design
Support transmission line projects ranging from 34.5kV to 345kV for both utility and renewable energy systems
Participate in site visits and training opportunities, gaining exposure to real-world infrastructure and field data collection
Assist with the design and analysis of structural components for 69kV – 345kV substations, including steel structures and foundations

Completion of structural analysis coursework is required; steel and concrete design coursework is preferred

Practical experience in civil and structural engineering for utility-scale substation and transmission projects
Exposure to the power delivery industry, including both traditional utility and renewable markets
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, with a minimum of two years of coursework completed by Summer 2026
Real-world understanding of project scoping, estimating, and design documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); additional technical software knowledge is a plus
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Demonstrate openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement
