Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in accordance with company policies.
Perform routine and basic calculations (area, distance, converting units and coordinate systems);
Perform quality reviews to ensure geospatial and content accuracy.
Develop own expertise and stay abreast of developments in GIS technologies.
Attend to team and project needs as required, and respond within agreed timeframes.
Plot, edit, and analyzeMapspatial components of various projects using ArcGIS Pro software, including ArcGIS; and other components of the ArcGIS Suite, including ArcGIS Online
Work collaboratively with staff from other Golder WSP offices, as required to meet project and client needs;
Report to and review project work with senior GIS personnel;
Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager.
Assist in pPreparing maps, drawings, figures, sketches, charts and presentation posters for use in proposals and design reports;
Participate in 2D and 3D GIS data analysis, file management, database management, spatial data capture, georeferencing, structuring and integration into GIS data themes;
Convert GIS data between multiple file formats;
Production of maps and figures to be used in reports and studies, in compliance with WSP quality management system (QMS).[MM2]
Proactively identify improvements to enhance the company’s GIS service to clients.
Use GIS and spatial analysis tools to build and maintain geospatial databases including digitising, data conversion, feature attribution, and editing of GIS layers.[MM1]
Understand and maintain file directory structure per WSP Canada operational standards

Understand sources and availability of authoritative spatial data for use on projects, both through WSP’s maintained data warehouse and through government and authority data sources.Capture required topographic layers from imagery and other sources.

Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Demonstrated proficiency of GIS tools such as ArcGIS suite, ArcGIS Pro, AGOL, ERDAS, and Microsoft Office Suite, QGIS etc.
Understanding of datums and projections and the processes to convert between spatial references
Efficient data entry skillsInput field data and complete various basic data entry tasks;
Should possess good interpersonal skills, good team player with an innate ability to motivate colleagues to give of their best.
Ability to Pperform routine spatial analysis, digitizing, collection, and consolidation of project data;
Ability to work in a very dynamic and demanding work environment.
Proven track record in GIS.
Knowledge and experience in successful data management.
CAD experience desirable.
Basic knowledge of the web GIS Environment (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise), ability to manage data therein and create and / or maintain field data collection solutions in Field Maps and / or Survey123Assist senior geospatial staff with digital field data collection preparation, implementation, and visualization in both web and desktop environments.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
International experience is preferred.
