Summer Internship - Stormwater

Description

This position provides a learning environment that ensures that the company's clients are serviced according to the highest standard of quality, maximizing efficiency and productivity while upholding the regulations for treating ponds and lakes. This role is integral to the smooth and profitable execution of work performed by Dragonfly Pond Works and to creating future leaders for the company.

• Mow, weed-eat, and clean sites.
• Operate various equipment such as Ventrac, Wright Mower, Grandstand Mower, Hedge Trimmer, Chainsaw and String Trimmer.
• Visual inspection of pond components.
• Identify and treat invasive weeds.

Requirements

• Adapt and/or able to improvise quickly, as demanded by conditions or unknown factors
• Relevant work experience is desired but not required.
• Proven interest in working outdoors with a passion for creating and maintaining healthy aquatic systems.
• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in natural sciences or compatible environmental studies program and entering Junior or Senior year, preferred.
• Ability to swim.
• Ability to regularly lift 75 pounds.
