Tasks

-Supervise remediation site work including the set up and installation of treatment systems -Communicate with various municipality, utility, government clients, subcontractors, and government regulating agencies -Occasionally travel to client sites for project investigations, definition workshops, charrettes and project meetings -Manage, develop, and follow-through with scopes of work and proposals -Conduct technical audits and reviews of engineering designs and assessment reports. -Build business relationships with local and federal government clients -Implement and handle all technical aspects of assessment and remediation projects -Train staff on how to use and implement remediation systems -Develop proposals and business opportunities to increase the capacity of AEI Environmental Remediation service area. -Investigate sites that have been contaminated with chemicals, toxic waste, nutrients or other dangerous materials -Work with clients, customers, and contracting partners to team on project and share work. -Recommend and design environmental remediation treatments to address the remediation criteria and needs. -Plan and manage project staffing requirements and project performance, and identifies and addresses scope creep, schedule, or quality issues to ensure a successful project. -Advocates for design excellence and quality in overall program and all project deliverables; works proactively with federal clients to identify expectations and achieve Very Good to Exceptional CPARS ratings -Handle the containment and disposal of hazardous materials as needed -Compile technical reports, daily logs and soil, water and chemical audits -Recommend methods to meet compliance requirements and address new regulations. -Design and implement contamination assessments and monitoring plans to evaluate the environmental impact of projects and operations at client facilities. -Assist with expanding the Environmental Remediation service line. -Plan remediation projects that meet clients’ needs and comply with environmental regulations, including budgeting, staff task management, design and sampling plans. Provide options by demonstrating feasibility and considering alternatives -Manage the scope, schedule, and budget across multiple projects – from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. -Apply practical knowledge of architectural and engineering methods, techniques, and historical project data to ensure project requirements are complete -Coordinate, appoint and supervise subcontractors -Perform generic and detailed quantitative risk assessments -Use computer modelling and data analysis tools to assess and forecast environmental outcomes -Work in the field as needed to gather information and direct field personnel, requiring the ability to work in various weather conditions, walk on uneven terrain, safely operate a company truck, and carry heavy items (> 35 pounds). -Produce, sign and seal, as needed, detailed technical reports. -Obtain necessary permits involved in the remediation project -Administrative capabilities including the provision of health and safety documentation and data collection -Write workflows, approaches, and innovation designs in response to specific client task requests and general requests for proposals/qualifications. -Ensure all parties meet compliance with environmental regulations

What You Bring

-Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products -Knowledge of the regulatory processes in Florida -Strong reporting skills, both verbal and written -Outstanding computer skills with an ability to use a range of software packages as well as demonstrating an interest in learning new technology -Strong data analytics skills and a flair for managing multiple sources of information -Ability to negotiate with regulatory authorities -HAZWOPPER or other OSHA certification -Experience with AutoCAD, PONDS, ASAD, GEOPAK Drainage, ArcGIS, and/or MicroStation -8+ years of related project management and/or supervisory experience is preferred. -Solid planning and project management skills -Clean driving record -Applies logic and common sense to project demands -A Florida Professional Engineer license required -Project management experience specific to Architectural & Engineering (A/E) services -Financial acumen to manage budgets and assist with forecasting -Solid technical writing skills and effective inter-communication skills -Excellent organization and team working skills -Ability to exhibit a professional, courteous demeanor -Great communicator and ability to explain testing results to a range of parties -Excellent project management skills -Flexible approach and ability to change direction when required -Federal experience, including NAVFAC, USACE, or USAF (DoD) experience preferred -Demonstrable ability to keep up to date with latest legislation and compliance requirements -Ability to pass a federal background check and work on federal DOD facilities. -Graduate degree preferred -Experience with surface water, groundwater, and integrated modeling codes such as HEC-RAS, ICPR, MIKE-SHE, and/or SWMM -Ability to work in a diverse environment -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related water resources discipline; Master’s degree preferred -≥12 years of experience in environmental remediation -LEED accreditation or other accepted “Green Rating System” and sustainable project experience -Technically skilled to perform process-orientated, remediation and sampling tasks -Project Management Professional certification (PMP) -Possess effective analytical and problem-solving skills -Must be detail-oriented and take pride in delivering high quality products -Organized with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects
