Developing and executing engagement and consultation programs, including project notices, Public Information Centres (virtual and/or in-person), with Indigenous communities, regulatory agencies, members of the public and other project stakeholders with a view of advancing resolutions.
Coordinating, preparing for, attending and documenting project meetings.
Tracking of consultation with Rights holders and other stakeholders.
Collaborating with technical and professional staff across the company in completing assignments.
Supporting business development efforts, including proposal writing and participation in industry associations.
Conduct site visits and monitor environmental aspects of study areas and infrastructure.
Identifying and assessing environmental features, constraints, alternatives, potential environmental effects, mitigation measures and avoidance opportunities.
Providing advice regarding environmental aspects, applicable legislation and guidelines, and policies.
Liaising with local, Provincial, and Federal agencies regarding permits and approvals.

Excellent communication skills with proven success in engaging design managers, discipline leads and contractors and negotiating with regulatory agencies to secure project approvals.
Experience with the Ontario Energy Board, Class EA for Minor Transmission Facilities, Impact Assessment Act, Ontario EA Act, Municipal Class EAs, and other legislation related to the position (e.g., Fisheries Act, Endangered Species Act, Navigation Protection Act, Environmental Protection Act and their regulations).
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management/Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Urban and Regional Planning or related field.
Class G driver’s license.
Full or Provisional membership in a professional body (e.g., Registered Professional Planner (RPP and MCIP); Canadian Environmental Professional (EP); or Project Management Professional (PMP)).
Researching, conceptualizing, planning, and writing reports/documentation related to planning, design and permitting. Be familiar with Environmental Due Diligence Reports, Environmental Protection Plans/Requirements Documents, Contractor Environmental Management Plans, and other permitting and monitoring documents in support of new, expanded, refurbished electrical infrastructure projects (lines and stations).
