Quantity Surveyor

Description

• Assisting with the preparation of delay and disruption programmes.
• Chairing site and client progress meetings.
• Reviewing complex contract programmes.
• Preparing procurement programme and helps develop the strategy.
• Analysing the commercial progress and report to senior project staff.
• Preparation and agreement of all final account matters
• Preparation of interim valuations.
• Procurement of all supply items and subcontractor packages.
• Preparing Activity Schedules, Resource Schedules & analysis tender documents.
• Undertaking constructability analyses using construction programmes.
• Mentoring and leading junior Commercial staff.
• Analysing rates & prices, agreement of variations and or compensation events as required.
• Preparing Internal reports, commercial progress and financial reconciliation.
• Monitoring subcontract activities, measure and respond appropriately.
• Preparing, submitting and negotiating claims when required.
• Regularly updating projected final accounts.
• Managing commercial aspects with Customer and Stakeholders for their area of responsibility.
• Regularly updating and managing cash flow forecasts.
• Overseeing cost-analysis and estimating process against an agreed Schedule of Rates.

Requirements

• Proven ability to run complex bids and multiple bids.
• NEC3 experience.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills, an ability to problem solve and make decisions.
• Degree qualified or similar.
• Basic understanding of contract language.
• Understanding of pricing, cost, and profit.
