Senior Planning Manager

Description

• Review and provide feedback/approval of regular D&B contractor(s) compensation events and claims.
• You will support the planning function in ensuring projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored.
• Ensure NEC4 compliance of D&B contractor(s) schedule.

• Interface with project team(s), PMO and portfolio scheduling (to update Portfolio-level schedules).
• Ensure D&B contractor(s) is informed and updated on ALL external project interfaces.
• Provide oversight, governance, and assurance of D&B contractor(s) schedule.
• You will manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
• Review and provide feedback/approval of regular D&B contractor(s) schedule update(s).
• You will develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with the client and other project stakeholders, both internal and external.
• You will support the long-term success of planning performance for specified engines/sectors/hubs, and the overall contribution to the broader company goals.
• You will champion a diverse and inclusive working environment and understand the importance of the wellbeing of the people you manage.
• Manage multiple projects dependent upon size and location.
• You will support senior management in negotiations, contract development and other business development, ensuring that due diligence is applied.
• Work with D&B contractor(s) to develop their detailed project schedule.
• You will actively network, innovate, and seek understanding of best practice, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace group, the centres of excellence, Mace way control centre and knowledge hub.
• Ensure D&B contractor(s) schedules include all relevant DEO process and procedures.
• You will support your project team and provide an environment to share knowledge and experience.
• You will support the long-term development of strategy for a function or business unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future.

Requirements

• Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
• Construction scheduler with P6 Primevera experience.
• Extensive experience in the successful planning of projects and programmes in the defence sector.
• Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
• You will possess expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio.
• NEC 4 experience
• Ability to gain UK security clearance - 5 years uninterrupted career in the UK.
• Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
