The role involves performing visual and dimensional inspections and maintaining accurate documentation on a variety of parts in accordance with ANSI Y14-5 and the certified operator program. Using appropriate test stands, the operator conducts electrical and mechanical tests on all types of aircraft fuel pumps, including dielectric strength, insulation resistance, pressure, leakage, amperage, voltage, wattage, calibration of pressure, flow, electrical parameters, and fuel temperature.
Conduct break‑in tests for required time periods to evaluate pump performance under simulated operating conditions and prepare pumps for customer use. Identify rejected pump components, label them, and return them to assembly for repair, as well as perform pump/part marking, packaging, and shipping identification. Maintain accurate lot control (QCP 6.0) traceability, record keeping, logbook entries, NCRs (QCP 11.0), and transcribe documentation from device folders to master product files; also move material within the cell and perform minor equipment maintenance.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution and reside within a 50‑mile radius of the work location; no relocation assistance is offered. The position requires a minimum of two years of comprehensive inspection or complex mechanical/electrical assembly experience, including electromechanical soldering. All applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.
