The Cybersecurity Architecture Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing secure infrastructure and systems with minimal supervision. In this role, you will be at the forefront of supporting infrastructure security needs, guiding our journey to secure our infrastructure platforms, including cloud environments, by applying industry-leading practices to mitigate cyber risks. You will engage in security and business projects throughout various lifecycle phases, including assessment, design, implementation, and post-implementation reviews, serving as a subject matter expert. Additionally, this position entails creating and maintaining relevant documentation of security requirements, processes and procedures, leading projects for infrastructure security selection, and functioning as the engineer within the Cybersecurity Team.
- Develop and Implement Security Architecture Plans: Assist in creating and executing security architecture plans and designs for cloud, campus, and on-premises environments. Drive the deployment and adoption of secure design and requirements across our IT Infrastructure hybrid landscapes.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with various stakeholders to prioritize critical business functions and ensure security measures are effectively integrated into all aspects of the organization’s operations.
- Security Consultation and Advisory: Provide security technical advisory & best practices to personnel and project team as needed to ensure the team is well-versed in our security practices and technologies.
- Identify and Mitigate Threats: Continuously identify and communicate emerging security threats by performing threat assessments/threat modelling. Design architecture elements effectively to address identify potential security gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Threat Assessments and Cybersecurity Integration: Support threat assessments and design the integration of cybersecurity solutions into both existing and new systems to ensure robust protection against potential threats.
- Align Security with Business Goals: Ensure that security measures align with the organization's business objectives and technology strategies, providing a balanced approach to security and business needs.
- Project Consultation: Assess various IT & business project’s security architectures and designs to ensure they meet the required security standards and controls, providing feedback and recommendations for improvements.
- Infrastructure Security Policies and Procedures: Design and develop platform-specific security baselines, policies, standards, and procedures. This includes topics like segmentation and access control, VPN access, firewall management, auditing and monitoring, data protection, user and administrator account management, SSO, conditional access controls, and password/secrets management.
- Document Security Requirements: Document and address the organization's information security and cybersecurity architecture requirements throughout the system's lifecycle to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
- Support and Enable Team Members: Support and enable team members across both technical and functional capacities, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to align security initiatives with business objectives. - 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security architecture and design. Strong knowledge of security frameworks, encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and zero-trust architectures.
- This role may require occasional after-hours work for incident response or project deadlines. Remote or hybrid work options is available.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP) preferred.
- Skills: Expertise in security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, firewalls). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to balance security requirements with business needs.
