The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining site reliability by performing high‑quality inspections, troubleshooting basic preventative‑maintenance tasks, and executing routine maintenance without supervision. This role includes replacing basic components and helping to minimize unplanned downtime through proactive maintenance efforts.
Critical competencies for the role include the ability to independently repair and maintain mechanical equipment, monitor processes and materials to identify potential failures, and make informed decisions to solve basic mechanical and operational problems. Effective communication and collaboration with team members support plant operations, while a safety‑conscious, proactive mindset ensures compliance with standards and reduces downtime.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of one year of operations experience, preferably within the aggregate industry. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of plant operations, be proficient in conducting thorough inspections, and have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic maintenance issues, including component replacement.
