Due to the nature of our work, you will have the opportunity to gain a broad range of experience, including planning and feasibility studies; environmental and health impact assessments; building and infrastructure design; noise modelling; on-site measurements; auralisation and sound visualisation (including Arup SoundLab and i¦Lab); as well as many other activities.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral), with experience of communicating with your own team and clients at an appropriate level
3 to 4 years of experience working in acoustic consulting, including environmental noise assessments, and/or building acoustic assessments
Desk-based acoustic studies using programmes such as Strutt (Arup’s in-house acoustic Excel add-in), SoundPLAN, Odeon, etc.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Acoustics, Environmental Science, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Physics. Other subjects will be considered if you can demonstrate relevant working experience.
