Create electrical installation packages that detail how fuel cells will be installed at a customer’s facility, adhering to the National Electric Code (NEC) and local jurisdiction requirements as needed.
Work closely with the remote engineering and drafting teams to support the initial design creation and AutoCAD drafting.
Communicate engineering and technical data effectively by implementing project milestones through collaboration.
Responsible for reviewing 3rd party designs and custom equipment solutions. Produce project specific drawings and documents as needed.
Responsible for ensuring the electrical designs conform to specifications required for the implementation of Bloom Energy fuel cell systems.
Provide technical support while working with 3rd party microgrid controllers.
Design microgrids with fuel cell generation to ensure the physical installation meets all product specifications and the customers’ needs.
Support the Supply Chain Team by reviewing electrical equipment packages and ensuring they meet Bloom’s specifications.
Perform and review power systems studies that include, voltage drop, short-circuit, coordination, and Arc Flash.
Interface directly with external parties as needed. This often includes customers, utilities, permitting authorities, inspectors, 3rd party design firms.
Create Sequence of Operations to state how the fuel cells will transfer from paralleling with the utility to microgrid (island) operation.
