You will support automation projects by performing on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks for data‑center startups and leading checkout and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems. You’ll partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems, providing clear communication and updates to customers and project teams. Travel rotations follow a days‑on/days‑off schedule (e.g., 5‑on / 2‑off), exposing you to new challenges and locations while working with major customers supported by the ProAutomated team.
For those who’d rather be on the move than behind a desk, we’re opening our 2026 hiring pipeline for curious, adaptable problem‑solvers who love travel, hands‑on work, and being part of a team that knows your name. If you can laugh through flight delays, figure things out on the fly, and enjoy solving complex problems, this could be a perfect fit. Our four‑week paid training prepares technically skilled individuals, and success requires a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking.
We seek candidates who love travel and can be away from home on rotation, have a working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking, and demonstrate adaptability, grit, strong communication, and problem‑solving skills. Applicants must live within 50 miles of a major airport, have a personal vehicle within 45 days of employment, be authorized to work in the U.S., and hold a technical degree or equivalent 3+ years of hands‑on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
The role requires walking long distances across large facilities, climbing ladders or stairs, lifting up to 50 lb, and standing, kneeling, or reaching for extended periods in varied environments such as construction sites, outdoors, or extreme temperatures. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
At ProAutomated you’ll combine work and travel, experiencing new cities while tackling unique projects and earning travel rewards across North America. We offer a starting salary of $60,000–$75,000 plus per diem, mileage reimbursement, utilization and weekend bonuses, and a culture of trust and teamwork. Your growth is supported through paid training, annual merit raises, and a guaranteed 5 % salary increase after six months. Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, matching 401(k), disability options, paid vacation, and flexible time off after 18 months. Our people‑first environment fosters community, humor, and leaders who have risen through the same ranks.
