Document and report field findings accurately and clearly
Conduct destructive and non-destructive tests on construction materials including structural surveys, corrosion analysis, and material verification
Support calculations, data reduction, and drafting tasks as needed
Mentor junior technicians and support training efforts
Observe, inspect, test, and sample construction materials (focus on masonry and concrete) in line with project specifications
Attend project meetings and provide updates on inspection activities
Communicate daily with contractors, project managers, and technicians to ensure alignment on site conditions and any testing needs
Encourage participation and advancement in internal and external training programs and certification opportunities.
Maintain field equipment and report missing or damaged items promptly

Minimum 2 years of field experience in construction inspection
Additional certifications in structural steel, soils, and aggregates
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and engineering plans
Must hold at least 2 special inspector certifications from recognized industry bodies (ICC, NICET, ACI, ASTM, NRC, etc.)
Current ICC certification as a Masonry Special Inspector
Strong familiarity with Arizona-specific building codes and site conditions
Prior work on heavy construction QA/QC projects
High School Diploma or GED required
Proficiency with tablets/laptops for data entry and daily reporting
