Switching Foreman

Description

The role involves leading crews through commissioning tasks, executing approved Methods of Procedure, reviewing and validating AutoLOTO requests, and overseeing test and energization sequences in compliance with plans and permits. The foreman also participates in progress meetings, coordinates with safety and quality teams, and maintains accurate logs for compliance.

• Lead electrical crews in commissioning, energization, and load bank operations.
• Execute approved Methods of Procedure (MOP) for all Level 3–5 activities.
• Review, validate, and implement AutoLOTO requests during commissioning phases.
• Oversee testing, energization sequences, and integrated systems testing protocols.
• Participate in regular progress meetings and commissioning update sessions.
• Enforce strict safety protocols and coordinate with Safety, QA/QC, and Field Operations.
• Maintain auditable logs of switching activities, AutoLOTO records, and MOP signoffs.

Requirements

Loenbro, LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Switching Foreman to lead field switching and commissioning support for mission‑critical data center projects in the Cedar Rapids, IA area. The foreman will supervise electrical crews during First Time Energization, switching and AutoLOTO activities, load bank operations, and Level 3–5 commissioning while enforcing safety and ensuring clean turnover documentation.

Candidates must have at least five years of electrical field experience on mission‑critical or industrial projects, strong knowledge of switchgear, LV/MV switching, load banks, and commissioning test support, and preferably hold NFPA 70E and AutoLOTO certifications. A high school diploma is required, with technical training preferred, and the individual must demonstrate clear communication, leadership, and meticulous record‑keeping.
