Locators also use a cell‑phone app to record marks, store photos, and complete required documentation for excavators and property owners.
Candidates must have at least two years of locator experience. The position is classified as full‑time employee status and includes on‑call rotation and a willingness to travel over 75 % of the time.
The role demands strict adherence to 811 laws, best locating practices, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Maintaining clean, well‑conditioned equipment and a tobacco‑free vehicle, completing paperwork accurately, and communicating clearly with coworkers, supervisors, and the public are essential.
