- Oversight of Temporary & Permanent Power
- Verify that all electrical systems are properly de-energized before work begins and safely restored once completed.
- Serve as the liaison between project management, field crews, and safety teams for energy-related activities.
- Track and control all energy sources, maintaining accurate logs and permits.
- Coordinate with electrical crews to ensure safe energization and de-energization during construction phases.
- Recommend improvements to energy management processes.
- Communicate potential hazards, risks, and solutions clearly to all stakeholders.
- Manage installation, maintenance, and inspection of temporary power systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, and company safety policies.
- Provide daily briefings or updates related to energy control and power system status.
- Act as the single point of contact for energy isolation and re-energization activities.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and safety meetings.
- Maintain accurate documentation of LOTO events, inspections, and incidents.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures across the project site.
- Stay current with evolving codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Train and mentor field staff on energy control best practices.

- Training certifications in NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, or equivalent.
- Ability to foster effective relationships with teams and stakeholders.
- Prior experience on large commercial or industrial projects.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and energy isolation practices.
- Safety-first mindset with strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent electrical experience) required.
- Experience as a Safety Officer, Foreman, or Superintendent in electrical construction.
- Proven ability to implement and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Ability to work on active construction sites in varying weather conditions.
- Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926, NFPA 70E, and NEC requirements.
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and use of PPE required.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction.
