The Technical Sales Lead provides high-level support to the Client Focal Point (CFP) team, ensuring efficient operation and communication.

  • Manage product & service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims.
  • Ensure timely completion of enquiries for all Score products and Services.
  • Sets examples for sales team in areas of personal character, commitment, organisational and selling skills including work habits.
  • Ensure systems and reports are populated and accurate.
  • Structure, lead and motivate the Sales, Contracts & Focal Point teams.
  • Works with the Business Development team to support development of action plans & strategies to penetrate new markets.
  • Lead team in ability to provide technical sales including engineered and actuation packages.
  • Ensure maximum profitability for all orders secured.
  • Ensures that all Sales, Contract, and Focal Point team members meet or exceeds all activity standards for quote generation and conversion.
  • Build a strong, disciplined infrastructure that drives excellence in Sales & Customer focus.
  • Prepare and issue monthly sales reports to management.
  • Draft, Review and Approve quotations and purchase orders.
  • Provide timely feedback to management regards performance.
  • Maximising working capital through astute commercial negotiations.

  • Post secondary education or a bachelor’s degree is an asset, preferably in sales & marketing although not essential.
  • Astute sales professional with strong instinct to identify opportunities, drive client engagement with value-based selling.
  • Extensive sales experience.
  • Experience gained as part of a globally recognized Valve OEM or a regionally recognized Oil & Gas aftermarket solutions business.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
  • Willingness to travel and work as part of a global team of professionals.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role with a proven record of increasing responsibility and achievement.
  • Excellent at building credibility quickly and influencing stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong business acumen with proven problem-solving skills and ability to drive customer-focused solutions.
  • 5+ years of proven Sales experience gained within the Valve, Valve Service or Oil & Gas industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically, with strong analytical skills and intellectual agility.
  • Successful experience as a Technical Sales Lead with a comprehensive knowledge of the Canadian Oil & Gas industry and extensive knowledge of valves preferred.
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Valve business is preferred.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and sales targets under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Sales, Applications Engineering (Sizing & Selection), Design of Valves, Industrial & Process Valves, On-Off Valves and sizing of Automated Actuators for various process applications.
