The Project Manager is responsible for building high‑performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentorship, while providing regular feedback and performance appraisals. They communicate project risk, schedules, budgets, and change management with owners, architects, and subcontractors, and define the scope of work, staffing requirements, and detailed work plans for each phase.
Additional duties include managing the construction‑management bid process, coordinating project planning services (estimating, scheduling, value engineering, reporting), and overseeing accurate processing of contracts, bulletins, field work orders, and change orders. The manager also negotiates subcontract agreements, leads trade‑contractor relations, and ensures safety awareness and corrective actions on site.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and have at least five years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role. Completion of relevant training in construction management, project management, safety, or communication is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Key competencies include strong time‑management, entrepreneurial focus, clear written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, and risk‑management abilities. The role demands an advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, job‑cost accounting, blueprint reading, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
