Operate necessary equipment to take measurements on utility poles and mid-span facilities, perform pole inspections, inspect pad-mount equipment, etc.
Assistance with storm damage assessments to OH and UG distribution structures and equipment.
Perform field data collection utilizing laptop computer, tablet device, GPS, and other electronic devices in order to collect data for input into database software as necessary.
Develop a working knowledge of National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), electric utility construction standards, and telephone, cable and other communication facilities.
Perform various field technical services for the operation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems including but not limited to:

Minimum 0-3 years- experience as a Field Tech with utility experience preferred.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Clean and valid Driver's license required; Must be at least 18 years of age to drive on company time including personal and company vehicle.
Willing to provide written consent for GPS tracking of location (via Company issued cell phone, tablet/laptop, or Company issued vehicle).
Familiarity with National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) preferred.
Analytical competence to interact with variety of individuals including engineers and experienced distribution system designers.
Travel is primarily regional to the utility client(s) territory during the business day, although overnight travel is to be expected.
Experienced with field survey equipment including but not limited to range finders, hasting sticks, and GPS units.
Knowledge of computers and software applications desired (MS Office products) preferred.
